Description:

The ECS Detroit Section welcomes Dr. Yiyang Li to present " Understanding Li-ion Batteries By (Dis) Charging One Particle at a Time“

Abstract
Li-ion batteries are made of an ensemble of micron-sized battery particles within a porous electrode architecture. Nearly all electrochemical measurements are conducted on the particle ensemble, making it difficult to understand the intrinsic behavior of the individual battery particles. In this presentation, we discuss our recent efforts to understand NMC cathode particles using the multielectrode electrode array.
