The 10th Manuel M. Baizer Memorial Symposium on Organic Electrochemistry was held on May 7th and 8th 2012 at the 221st Electrochemical Society Meeting in Seattle, Washington. This symposium was held in honor of Prof. Dennis G. Peters of Indiana University, who received the Baizer Award. In addition to his valuable research efforts, Dennis has provided exemplary leadership in teaching, as well as Electrochemical Society activities. His address presentation was a fascinating look at fifty years in the field of organic electrochemistry at Indiana University. This Symposium represents talks within a wide variety of research areas, from electrochemistry of halogenated compounds to investigations in ionic liquids. Many of these presentations are represented in this issue of ECS Transactions and provide a useful summary of those research areas.
