This issue of ECS Transactions includes 25 papers presented at the Third International Conference on Semiconductor Technology for Ultra Large Integrated Circuits and Thin Film Transistors (ULSIC vs. TFT III), held at the Hyatt Regency Hong Kong, Sha Tin, in Hong Kong, China, from June 27 to July 1, 2011. This symposium was sponsored by the Engineering Conferences International.

This conference provided a forum on the latest developments in the two largest semiconductor technologies, ULSIC and TFT. Global experts from universities and industry exchanged experience, knowledge, and visions through technical presentations and discussions during presentations, brainstorming sections, and afternoon and evening breaks. Future scientific and technology challenges were forecasted and debated. Graduate students and junior researchers from various countries also presented papers and were engaged in discussions; participants were from Belgium, China, France, Italy, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, the Netherlands, Taiwan, UK, and the USA.
